Elevate robotic systems at Humanoid as a Senior Actuator Mechanical Design Engineer in Vancouver. Drive actuator design for humanoid mobility and manipulation, ensuring performance and reliability.
In this senior role, you will oversee the design and development of innovative robotic actuators, integrating advanced mechanical systems for humanoid robots. Your expertise in mechanical design, system integration, and GD&T will allow you to collaborate with various teams to prototype and deploy actuators efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design torque dense actuators for humanoid robots
• Develop innovative gearbox designs and reduction methods
• Create precise 3D CAD models with Solid Works/NX
• Lead rapid prototyping using cutting-edge fabrication techniques
• Conduct mechanical testing to validate performance and reliability
Requirements:
• 7+ years of mechanical design experience in robotics
• 3+ years designing planetary or strain wave actuators
• Proficient in Solid Works, NX, and GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
• Strong understanding of mechanics and materials
• Hands-on experience with prototype assembly and testing
