Special Projects Estimator

Position: True Mechanical Special Projects Estimator
Be part of True Mechanical’s growth as a Mechanical Estimator in the Special Projects division. Utilize your expertise to drive accurate estimates for complex, high-value mechanical systems.

In this role, you will manage estimation for unique renovation and special projects, preparing bids that ensure competitive positioning. You will interpret project documentation and facilitate the tender process while fostering relationships with sub-trades and suppliers. Your ability to analyze and quantify risks and opportunities will be key to the division’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimate costs for special projects ranging in value

• Analyze plans and prepare time and material estimates

• Oversee the tender document distribution process

• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for mechanical work

• Collaborate closely with project managers for smooth transitions

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years as a Mechanical Estimator

• Experience with Auto Bid and Trimble estimating software

• Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Relevant certification or post-secondary education is advantageous
