Engineer - Distributed Energy Resources

This position calls for a qualified professional engineer or geoscientist who specializes in managing overhead and underground electric utility systems. You'll analyze system performance, initiate improvements, and conduct planning studies to forecast distribution needs. Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, you will find innovative solutions and develop strategies for system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and enhance distribution system performance
• Analyze economic studies to identify system requirements
• Lead development of automation for better reliability
• Prepare documentation for regulatory purposes
• Manage asset strategies for optimal performance
Requirements:
• Registered Engineer or Geoscientist eligible in BC
• Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with engineering software tools is advantageous
• Willingness to travel as needed
