Intermediate​/Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Burnaby, BC

Our client, a well-established engineering consulting firm, is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Engineer with 7+ years of consulting engineering experience to join their growing team in Burnaby, BC.

• Design power distribution systems.
• Perform arc flash studies and electrical system analysis.
• Design medium and low voltage MCCs and switch gear.
• Prepare equipment specifications, schematics, datasheets, and construction work packages.
• Provide field support during testing, commissioning, and system start-up.
• Support procurement activities, including vendor document reviews and bid evaluations.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver successful engineering solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC.
• Minimum 7 years of consulting engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, protection and control systems, and grounding design.
• Experience with 600V+ electrical systems.
• Proficiency in single-line diagrams and load calculations.
• Experience specifying and procuring LV/MV equipment and switch gear.
• Hands‑on experience with ETAP, including short circuit and arc flash studies.
• Strong understanding and application of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing assigned project scopes.
