Water Infrastructure Structural Engineer

Position: Water Infrastructure Structural Engineer Role
AECOM Burnaby seeks an Intermediate Structural Engineer to support our Water Infrastructure team. Engage in diverse structural design projects within the water and wastewater sectors.

This role provides the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior engineers and other specialists on technical projects. Your responsibilities will involve detailed engineering tasks, structural analysis, and the guidance of junior engineers. Participate in multidisciplinary collaborations to advance your skills and career in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct moderate portions of broader engineering assignments

• Gather crucial engineering data systematically

• Complete structural design calculations and analyses

• Innovate solutions to tackle engineering challenges

• Support resolution of any identified discrepancies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or equivalent

• Over 6 years of experience in Canadian design standards

• P.Eng designation is required or to be obtained soon

• Preferably 8+ years of structural design background

• Proficiency in structural design software tools
