Join the Liquid Waste Services Department as a Project Engineer in Burnaby. Oversee diverse projects related to wastewater treatment plants from design to construction while ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Metro Vancouver seeks two Project Engineers for its Engineering, Design & Construction group. Candidates will manage multiple projects, requiring strong technical knowledge of wastewater facilities and project management skills.
Your role is centered on developing project plans, budgets, schedules, and overseeing contract administration for successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage project lifecycle from design through to construction
• Prepare budgets and track financial aspects of projects
• Oversee scheduling and ensure project milestones are met
• Liaise with contractors to resolve engineering and design issues
• Research technical information for informed decision-making
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline
• Eligible for Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
• Strong contract administration and project management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Project
