Position: Mechanical Designer with HVAC Focus
Join a reputable company as a Senior Mechanical Designer in Burnaby, emphasizing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems with a salary range of $80,000–$100,000. Your experience in design will guide project success.

Ideal candidates for this position will bring over five years of design experience and in-depth knowledge of BC Building Code and CSA standards. You will engage with project teams to coordinate designs, conduct site inspections, and mentor less experienced engineers. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and efficiency of ongoing projects, as well as the professional growth of staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct heating and cooling load calculations

• Review drafts and supervise junior engineers

• Prepare specifications and tender documentation

• Attend project meetings and provide progress updates

• Maintain client relations and explore new business opportunities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum 5 years in HVAC design

• Proficient in AutoCAD;
Revit knowledge a plus

• LEED® certification or similar is beneficial

• Professional Engineer (PEng) or Applied Science Technologist (AScT) preferred
