High Voltage Substation Engineer at PHASOR

Join PHASOR Engineering Inc. as a High Voltage Substation Engineer and impact engineering solutions in Alberta. This full-time position focuses on cutting-edge electrical design and project execution.
In this role, you will leverage your electrical engineering expertise to develop outdoor substation designs for voltages between 25kV and 240kV. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed calculations for grounding, conducting load studies, and reviewing vendor specifications to assure compliance and operability. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers and interface with various engineering teams to ensure holistic project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete outdoor design packages for high voltage substations

• Perform load and grounding calculations for designs

• Review documentation for compliance and constructability

• Support the commissioning of completed projects

• Guide junior engineers and ensure standards adherence
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

• Minimum of 6-8 years relevant substation experience

• In-depth knowledge of electrical mathematics

• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills

• Eligibility for registration with APEGA
