This pivotal role in the Water Services Department involves managing a complex portfolio of capital projects and emergency repairs. You will guide and support teams with input into technical standards and corporate policies. Your experience in engineering, particularly with large diameter water mains, will be essential in ensuring compliance and effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee capital and operational projects
• Develop technical standards, policies, and procedures
• Provide leadership and supervision for multi-disciplinary teams
• Prepare and review reports, recommendations, and presentations
• Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• 8-10 years of experience as a professional engineer
• Proven project management and contract administration skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
