Join BC Hydro’s Transmission Lines/Substations team as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. You’ll perform high voltage studies and maintain engineering standards in this full-time position.
In this senior engineering role, you'll be instrumental in conducting electrical studies for transmission systems rated from 60 kV to 500 kV. Collaborate with a dynamic team to ensure effective project management and develop technical specifications. Your contributions will help drive innovation and ensure client needs are met while adhering to engineering accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct electrical studies for design of transmission lines
• Develop and maintain engineering standards
• Manage medium to large electrical projects
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning
• Mentor junior engineers and promote professional development
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Registration as a Professional Engineer or eligibility
• Minimum 8 years of utility industry experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Familiarity with relevant software applications
