• Conduct comprehensive environmental assessments to identify potential impacts associated with various projects, ensuring adherence to local, provincial, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution.
• Prepare and submit environmental documentation, including reports, permits, and applications, to regulatory agencies in a timely manner.
• Monitor and evaluate environmental performance during project implementation, ensuring compliance with established environmental management plans.
• Engage with stakeholders, including community members and regulatory bodies, to communicate project goals and address environmental concerns.
• Assist in the development and implementation of environmental management systems and best practices across the organization.
• Conduct fieldwork, including site inspections and sampling, to assess environmental conditions and gather data for analysis.
• Stay updated on emerging environmental regulations, technologies, and trends to provide informed recommendations for project improvements.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops for staff on environmental policies, procedures, and sustainability initiatives.
• Support the preparation of proposals and bids for new projects, highlighting Binnie's commitment to environmental stewardship.
• Participate in internal and external audits to assess compliance with environmental standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Binnie's environmental practices and policies, fostering a culture of sustainability within the organization.

• A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, regulations, and best practices in British Columbia.
• Proven experience in conducting environmental assessments and preparing technical reports.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using environmental assessment tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

• Certification as a Professional Environmental Engineer (P.Eng) or Environmental Professional (EP) is an asset.
• Experience with GIS software and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
• Previous experience working with Indigenous communities and understanding of their environmental concerns.
• Knowledge of climate change impacts and adaptation strategies.

The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with environmental monitoring equipment and data analysis techniques is essential. Proficiency in GIS and other environmental modeling software will be beneficial for this role. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
