Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Civil/Transportation Engineering Intern/Co-op with an interest in traffic engineering and transportation planning to be based in our Burnaby, BC office.
The successful candidate will support a range of transportation planning, traffic engineering, and civil infrastructure projects, working alongside multidisciplinary teams on studies and designs for roadways, transit, active transportation, and municipal infrastructure.
The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:
Minimum Requirements
- Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related engineering program, and must have completed at least 2 years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
- Strong interest in traffic engineering, transportation planning, transit, active transportation, roadways, and/or municipal infrastructure
- Previous engineering, transportation planning, or civil engineering co-op/internship experience
- Coursework or experience related to traffic engineering, transportation planning, transportation modelling, statistics, GIS, or data analysis
- Experience with transportation analysis or modelling software is considered an asset
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Station,…
