BC Hydro is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer for a contract role lasting until November 2027. You will utilize your four years of engineering experience to develop effective engineering solutions and engage in design activities that meet safety and project objectives. Familiarity with CAD systems and a solid foundation in structural assessment will be vital as you play a key role in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop safe engineering designs for various projects
• Propose changes in plans and estimated costs
• Conduct construction quality control and monitoring
• Collaborate with BC Hydro’s engineering team on complex problems
• Prepare progress reports and coordinate work schedules
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural Engineering
• Registered P.Eng. in good standing with EGBC
• Minimum four years of structural engineering experience
• Basic knowledge of CAD systems and software
• Must have current confined space entry training
