Gold Sim modelling expertise drives this Senior Mine Water Quality Modeller role within a global sustainable engineering and environmental consulting firm.
The permanent, full-time position supports mining projects through water quality modelling, geochemistry, environmental assessments, and permitting. Senior responsibilities include technical leadership, client guidance, and collaboration across environmental practices. The role is ideally based in Burnaby, Victoria, or Sidney, with flexibility for other British Columbia and Canadian offices.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and apply Gold Sim mine water quality models
- Integrate geochemical source terms for mine waste materials
- Lead or review complex modelling projects
- Mentor junior and intermediate modelers
- Prepare reports and perform technical document QA/QC
- Extensive Gold Sim contaminant transport module experience
- Strong understanding of mine water management systems
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant mining consulting experience
- B.Sc. in geochemistry, hydrogeology, or earth sciences
- P.Geo. or P.Eng. registration or eligibility
