Intermediate Permafrost Geotechnical Engineer

Stantec seeks an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer specializing in cold regions and permafrost, with flexible work arrangements and hybrid or remote options.
This full-time position supports Canadian and global dam, reservoir, hydropower, and infrastructure projects. You will apply geotechnical design, construction, complex analysis, numerical modeling, and client engagement skills. The work spans offices, sites, and laboratories.

Key Responsibilities:

Support infrastructure design, analysis, and construction in cold regions
Perform complex analyses using state-of-practice software
Coordinate geotechnical and multidisciplinary project teams
Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and industry partners
Contribute to proposals, innovation, and market expansion initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in geological, civil, or geotechnical engineering
Seven or more years of relevant industry experience
Cold regions and permafrost design and construction experience
Knowledge of Geo Studio, Leap Frog, or Rocscience software
Strong problem-solving, communication, safety, and quality commitment
