Position: BCGEU Events Planner Temporary Role
Enhance your event coordination skills with the BC General Employees' Union as a Temporary Events Planner. This six-month position focuses on organizing union events and ensuring a smooth travel experience for members and staff both in Canada and abroad.

Located in Burnaby, this role leads the planning and execution of conferences and conventions critical for union work. You will coordinate logistics, manage budgets, and create contracts for vendors and venues, playing a vital role in the union's initiatives. Your ability to handle multiple priorities will be essential as you navigate the demands of large-scale events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate logistics for union conferences and events

• Negotiate with hotels and vendors for services

• Monitor budgets to ensure financial compliance

• Answer inquiries about travel and policies

• Facilitate delegate travel arrangements efficiently

Requirements:

• 5 years in planning large conventions

• 4 years in budget management

• Proven travel booking experience

• Excellent communication skills

• Must hold a B.C. Driver's license
