POSITION SUMMARYReporting to the Senior Mortgage Administrator, the Mortgage Administrator will manage the portfolio of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) devolved projects, including non‑profit projects and Rural Native Home ownership program projects. Responsibilities include interest administration, obtaining property tax payments and operating insurance confirmations from non‑profit societies; coordinating with societies on mortgage renewals, maturities, early prepayments and discharges; processing property tax payments;
reconciling payments and receipts; preparing mortgage security packages; and providing loan balance, interest, and trust confirmation for auditing purposes.
- Diploma in finance, law, business administration, or other relevant field.
- Considerable experience in a lending environment.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the employer.
- Sound knowledge of mortgage administration procedures and processes.
- Sound knowledge of lending documents.
- Attention to detail and proficiency with figures.
- Ability to handle large volumes of work and meet multiple tight deadlines.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Work under pressure and plan ahead for critical dates.
- Accurate data entry.
- Strong analytical, investigative and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong project administration and tracking skills.
- Strong verbal communication and writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
- Excellent time‑management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and BC Online.
- Criminal record check required.
