As a Compliance Advisor, your mandate will be to support and advise teams on regulatory issues and initiatives, ensuring the application of the regulatory risk management framework at iA Dealer Services.
Reporting to the Manager, Compliance and Controls, and working closely with the Practice Leader, Compliance, the Compliance Advisor is responsible for implementing and monitoring regulatory compliance activities within the assigned distribution networks.
The position requires approximately 20% travel.
What you’ll accomplish with us- Monitor and oversee the insurance product offering provided by distributors.
- Plan and conduct regulatory compliance audits with distributors and partners.
- Track regulatory changes and assess their impact on distribution and supervision activities.
- Document internal processes and support first-line risk owners (1
LOD / 1A). - Contribute to drafting policies, guides, procedures, and performing internal control tests.
- Participate in the preparation of internal regulatory reports.
- Collaborate with internal departments of iA Dealer Services, its subsidiaries, and iA Financial Group entities.
- Inform the Practice Leader, Compliance and the Manager, Compliance and Controls of any incident or information that could compromise business relationships or create a risk of non-compliance.
- Occasionally travel to distributors’ locations to conduct on-site audits when required (personal vehicle required).
- English is required;
Bilingualism (French/English) would be an asset. - Holds one of the following education and certifications: CPA, CFE, CRM, CIP, Member of the Bar, CFA - asset
- Has a minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance.
- Has experience in compliance and/or audit in the insurance, financial services, or automotive industry.
- Possesses the following specific knowledge:
- Solid understanding of insurance products.
- Familiarity with the automotive sales process – asset.
- Strong MS Office skills
- Available for business travel up to 20%.
- Located in Vancouver and surrounding area.

The base salary for this role ranges between $85, 000 - $95, 000 annually.
