SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

SALARY RANGE: $77,381.86 - $89,848.11 (Annually)
Reporting to the Treasury Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst monitors the Commission’s cash position, prepares complex and comprehensive cash flow forecasts, manages loan and borrowing accounts, performs reconciliation and accounting duties related to provincial and federal funding, and oversees all Housing Hub transactions.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement cash flow forecasting and Housing Hub processes.
- Monitor cash position and prepare complex forecasts.
- Manage loan and borrowing accounts.
- Perform reconciliation and accounting duties related to provincial and federal funding.
- Oversee all Housing Hub transactions.
- Provide accounting advice to staff with non-financial backgrounds.
- Exercise good judgment and initiative, be results-focused, and make effective decisions.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Considerable progressive experience in the accounting or finance field.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience acceptable to the employer.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Considerable knowledge of accounting and financial administration principles.
- Understanding of the Commission’s mandate and operating requirements.
- Strong analytical, investigative, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
