This Senior Accountant role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic corporate finance team where you’ll handle complex, multi‑currency financial reporting and play a key role in company‑wide compliance and analysis. You’ll collaborate closely with operational finance groups and cross‑functional teams, helping strengthen processes and drive efficiencies. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, technical accounting, and the chance to influence financial reporting practices.

Interfor offers a competitive salary based on experience, skills, and qualifications, with an expected range of $86,000 – $94,000 (CAD) per year. We’re committed to creating careers where employees can contribute, grow, and thrive. In addition to base pay, you’ll enjoy:

- Financial Reporting:
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting activities, including consolidations and multi‑currency revaluations. - Compliance & Statements:
Prepare financial statements, MD&A components, press release inputs, and regulatory compliance submissions. - Reconciliations:
Complete balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany entries, and review payment batches for accuracy. - Analysis & Guidance:
Provide accounting guidance to operational finance and support audits through working papers and analysis. - Process Improvement:
Review and enhance reporting processes, support control design/testing, and assist with ad‑hoc finance initiatives.
- Technical Expertise: CPA designation (or CFE completion), strong IFRS knowledge, and experience with foreign currency & consolidations.
- Education & Experience:
Degree in business/accounting and 3+ years of audit or equivalent professional experience. - Systems
Skills:
Advanced Microsoft Suite skills; experience with Oracle or enterprise financial systems is an asset. - Analytical Strength:
Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and accuracy under pressure. - Collaboration:
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with a positive, team‑oriented approach.
