Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Finance steers financial planning, analysis, and decision-making. The role covers budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, risk management, and commercial contract review. It also develops people while supporting Canlan Sports’ financial resilience and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead annual budgeting and improve rolling forecast processes
Analyze financials, variances, forecasts, and performance indicators
Prepare consolidated P&L and cash flow projections
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close
Mentor Financial Analyst and supervise strategic sourcing leadership
Requirements:
Six-plus years of progressive finance, accounting, and compliance experience
At least two years leading a team
Hands-on budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation experience
Advanced Excel and financial modeling capability
Bachelor’s degree plus CPA, MBA, or CFA designation
Bring FP&A leadership, analytical judgment, and financial modeling expertise to Canlan Sports’ Burnaby finance team.
