Join Metro Vancouver as a Communications Officer in Burnaby, focusing on community engagement and waste management initiatives. Leverage your communication skills to improve public understanding and stakeholder involvement.
In this full-time temporary role, you will support the External Relations Department by creating communication materials and engaging with stakeholders. You'll play a crucial role in organizing public events related to liquid waste projects while ensuring effective public participation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop newsletters and signage for community outreach
• Liaise with stakeholders about construction impacts
• Organize public engagement meetings and promotions
• Address inquiries from the public and stakeholders
• Assist with presentation preparations for project managers
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma with university communication studies
• Familiarity with Metro Vancouver’s goals and programs
• Strong analytical and communication capabilities
• Experience in organizing public events and gatherings
• Valid British Columbia driver’s license
Utilize your organizational skills and communication expertise to strengthen community partnerships with Metro Vancouver.
