Shape impactful policy with a full time Senior Policy Analyst role focusing on Indigenous relations in Burnaby. Analyze data, craft recommendations, and engage with stakeholders for meaningful outcomes. As part of the Legal Services & Indigenous Relations department, this position involves extensive policy research and recommendation development.
You will analyze diverse data, prepare comprehensive reports, and liaise with various levels of government, organizations, and the public. The goal is to create informed strategies while maintaining effective professional relationships across sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop policy proposals and present to senior management
- Analyze and interpret data to support decision-making
- Review and recommend adjustments to bylaws and regulatory codes
- Establish effective partnerships with stakeholders and organizations
- Coordinate consultant work for technical research projects
- Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- Thorough knowledge of policies related to indigenous issues
- Strong data analysis and research skills
- Effective communication and presentation abilities
- Valid Driver’s Licence for British Columbia
