As a central member of the Planning and Development Department, the Planning Analyst role focuses on managing development applications, drafting reports for committees, and liaising with various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee development applications, including Development Variance and Heritage Alteration Permits
• Analyze proposals from development applicants thoroughly
• Coordinate interdepartmental file reviews
• Address development inquiries from external partners
• Support policy work and research housing trends
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in planning or a relevant field
• Familiarity with municipal planning procedures
• Proven ability to collect and present planning data
• Strong communication skills for diverse audiences
• Proficiency in Office Suite and design applications
