Emergency Preparedness Manager

Position: Emergency Preparedness Manager at BC Hydro
Lead BC Hydro's emergency readiness initiatives in Burnaby, British Columbia, and ensure robust response strategies are in place. This critical role demands expertise in emergency management and collaborative program development.

As the Emergency Preparedness Manager, you will spearhead the company's emergency preparedness programs. Your responsibilities will include crafting new procedures, developing emergency plans, and delivering employee training for incident response. You will engage with business units and external stakeholders to enhance the company’s resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead delivery of emergency preparedness programs effectively

• Establish and modify operational procedures based on regulations

• Develop emergency plans in partnership with business units

• Conduct training and exercises for employee preparedness

• Liaison with external agencies to enhance planning awareness

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred

• 5+ years in Emergency Management or related experience

• Strong relationship management and stakeholder influence skills

• Familiarity with British Columbia Emergency Management System

• Proven communication abilities in dynamic environments
