Location: New Westminster
Bring your caring spirit to Royal Columbian Hospital as a Health Care Assistant. This position focuses on delivering compassionate care to patients in the New Westminster area.
In this casual role, you'll perform vital tasks supporting patients under the guidance of nurses. Your responsibilities will include personal care, monitoring patient progress, and documenting observations. Ideal candidates will possess effective communication skills and a passion for helping others in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver personal care, assisting with grooming and mobility
• Monitor and report patients' conditions and needs
• Serve meals and support dietary requirements
• Take and document vital signs as necessary
• Assist with patient transport using specialized equipment
Requirements:
• Must have Grade 10 and completed a Health Care Assistant program
• Current Food Safe Level One certification preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Capability to perform physical tasks of the role
• Strong organizational skills in managing work
