Fraser Health is hiring for an Environmental Health Officer to support Health Promotion & Protection Services within the communities of Burnaby and New Westminster. Your responsibilities will include inspecting facilities, enforcing health regulations, and conducting vital public health research. Engage with the community to promote health strategies and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute inspections for regulatory compliance across various facilities
• Investigate health-related complaints and issues
• Analyze environmental safety standards and improve policy
• Monitor water quality and pollution control initiatives
• Facilitate community education on health practices
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health or related area
• Certification in Public Health Inspection (Canada) mandatory
• Valid BC Class V Driver’s License is necessary
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in health
