Location: New Westminster
Drive infection control strategies at Royal Columbian Hospital as a full-time Infection Control Practitioner. This position focuses on implementing best practices and enhancing quality care.
As part of Fraser Health, the Infection Control Practitioner role at Royal Columbian Hospital requires adept skills in clinical processes and infection prevention. You will bring a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field along with three years of acute care experience. The role is key in supporting various sites while providing mentorship and education to healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and maintain IPC programs across sites
• Support training for healthcare personnel on IPC standards
• Conduct audits and evaluate infection process
• Manage alerts and outbreak situations effectively
• Report communicable diseases and collaborate with health authorities
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a health science discipline
• Minimum three years acute care clinical experience
• Current knowledge of infection control policy
• Valid BC Driver's License needed
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
