Become a Rehabilitation Assistant with Fraser Health, assisting residents in daily rehabilitative activities in a supportive environment. This role includes helping with mobility exercises and daily self-care tasks.
As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will work under the guidance of senior health professionals, supporting residents in improving their functional abilities. Your responsibilities will include helping with mobility exercises, meal management, and transportation to therapy sessions. Strong communication skills and physical fitness are essential for success in this hands-on role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with daily living and mobility exercises
• Support residents in meal management and self-care
• Transport residents using mechanical aids effectively
• Attend care conferences and quality improvement meetings
• Organize and maintain rehabilitation equipment inventory
Requirements:
• Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant Program or equivalent
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities
• Capability to perform physical tasks
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience with operating rehabilitation equipment
