Join the dedicated team of respiratory therapists at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, British Columbia. This role focuses on diagnostic assessments, mechanical ventilation support, and quality patient care in a critical service environment.
As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will perform vital assessments and interventions for patients of all ages. Your responsibilities include assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, maintaining documentation, and collaborating within an interdisciplinary team. Contributing to quality improvement and providing in-service education enhances patient care and supports team development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform diagnostic assessments and therapeutic interventions across all age groups
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and workloads
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings for patient strategies
• Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment quality and function
• Assist in education for respiratory therapy students and staff
Requirements:
• Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Successful completion of Canadian Board of Respiratory Care exam
• Current CPR Level C certification
• Possession of NRP certification
• Strong communication and organizational skills
