As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will aid residents under the supervision of therapists and nurses. Responsibilities include demonstrating the use of adaptive devices, participating in care meetings, and reporting on residents' progress. This is an essential role that emphasizes promoting functionality and independence in daily activities for residents at Fraser Health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with mobility and daily living activities
• Demonstrate adaptive equipment use and support
• Report on residents’ progress and behavioral observations
• Clean and maintain therapeutic equipment
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• Rehabilitation Assistant Program or equivalent combination of education
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to collaborate with healthcare coworkers
• Physical ability to carry out required duties
• Understanding of related rehabilitative equipment
