Support the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit as a Unit Clerk at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, B.C. Your clerical skills will play a crucial role in patient care operations.
As a Unit Clerk, you are responsible for managing patient charts, transcribing physicians' orders, and coordinating patient appointments. This position allows you to contribute to the quality of care provided in one of Canada’s esteemed hospitals, ensuring efficient operations in the CSICU.
Key Responsibilities:
• Transcribe and process physicians' orders diligently
• Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups
• Maintain effective communication within the unit
• Compile and organize patient information accurately
• Answer calls and manage correspondence
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 and Nursing Unit Clerk training
• At least one year of relevant experience
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficient in typing with a minimum of 40 wpm
• Familiarity with healthcare software
Assist in improving patient experiences and outcomes at Royal Columbian Hospital’s Cardiac Surgery Unit.
