Health Care Aide Position at AgeCare

Location: New Westminster

Become a vital part of the Age Care team as a Health Care Aide, focusing on delivering personalized resident care in a nurturing environment. Your support will promote well-being and comfort for residents every day.

As a Health Care Aide at Age Care, you will collaborate closely with the care team to ensure that each resident's individual needs are met. The role involves assisting with bathing, transfers, and feeding while adhering to strict safety protocols. You’ll also provide routine treatments under the supervision of a Staff Nurse to enhance residents' quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and comfort measures

• Facilitate safe transfers using lifting equipment and techniques

• Support residents during meal times with feeding assistance

• Guide residents to various activities and therapy functions

• Implement routine care per resident's health care plan

Requirements:

• One year of experience in continuing care preferred

• Post-secondary education in relevant field

• Completion of PCA/HCA Certificate Course

• Active registration with the appropriate college

• Fluent in English, both orally and in writing
