In this role at Monarch House in Burnaby, you'll assist the Speech Language Pathologist with treatment plans and observe direct interactions with various age groups. This part-time position centers around implementing therapies and ensures a supportive environment conducive to learning and growth among patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with therapy sessions under SLP supervision
• Write detailed progress notes on patient behavior
• Gather and record patient response data accurately
• Create intervention materials as needed with guidance
• Uphold confidentiality of patient health information
Requirements:
• Completed secondary courses in linguistics or language development
• Post Graduate Certificate in Communicative Disorders preferred
• Legal work authorization in Canada
• Familiarity with child development stages
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
