This full-time, permanent position at VLRC focuses on functional low vision assessments and teaching clients to optimize their vision capabilities. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform assessments of functional vision and related skills
• Train individuals on using prescribed optical and non-optical aids
• Conduct public speaking on vision loss and rehabilitation
• Document assessments and maintain client records
• Collaborate with community agencies and stakeholders
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education in health care
• Familiarity with adaptive technologies and visual skills
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of disabilities across all age ranges
• Valid BC driving license essential
