Activity Worker II at George Derby Centre

Engage residents at George Derby Centre in Burnaby, BC as an Activity Worker II. Drive social, cognitive, and physical engagement through established resident activity programs in a collaborative environment.

This role reports to the Recreation Manager and focuses on implementing diverse activity programs such as arts, gardening, and exercise. You will encourage participation among residents, organize required supplies, and maintain a safe, clean recreation area. Your work contributes to enhancing the overall quality of life for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement activity programs for resident engagement

• Organize furnishings and supplies for activities

• Instruct residents on safe usage of equipment

• Observe participation and report relevant concerns

• Assist with resident outings and ensure safety

Requirements:

• Grade 12 graduation and related courses

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

• Completion of Food Safe Level 1

• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups

• Physical fitness to perform role duties
