We are hiring for a Supervisor, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Ultrasound - Burnaby Hospital.
Education, Training and Experience- Must be a graduate of a recognized training program in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography and Diagnostic General Sonography and be certified with Sonography Canada or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or be certified with Sonography Canada and have passed the Sonography Canada Skills Assessment (CCSA).
- Completion of Intravenous Therapy training course or applicable experience working in IV Therapy or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience when required by site practice.

Detailed OverviewReporting to the Site Coordinator, Medical Imaging, the Supervisor, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice as well as utilizing a client and family centered care model and the vision and values of the department within Fraser Health (FH).
The Supervisor works in a team based environment and is responsible for the supervision and coordination of technical and staffing activities of assigned area. Oversees the quality of technical work performed, participates in recruitment and performance management and coaches and orientates team members. Updates and standardizes policy and procedure manuals, compiles financial and statistical reports, responds to enquiries, facilitates and coordinates research and development projects, participating in the management of computerized information systems and maintains inventory of supplies.
Performs technical procedures when required.
