Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to work directly with Fortinet's IT Operations Team to lead new service deployments. In this role, you will work closely with various internal teams, including Sales, MIS, and Service teams, to define, prioritize, and successfully deliver projects that align with the company's goals. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, resources, and ensuring all deliverables are met with a focus on achieving corporate growth objectives.
Asa Project Manager, you will:
- Collaborate with the Sales team to define and understand service requirements for new service deployments.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including MIS, to prioritize tasks and establish realistic completion targets.
- Work with Service teams to assist in the development of new platforms and services that will be integrated into Fortinet’s security portfolio.
- Support the development of project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or obstacles that may arise, ensuring successful and on-time project completion.
- Provide regular project updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in handling complex customer escalations and working closely with the Sales team and Support team, especially in Networking, Cybersecurity, Software Development, or Infrastructure.
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Project Manager on Open Stack platforms, Containerization, Automation, or related fields, with a strong understanding of IT operations and project management methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, switches, VPN, IPS, Antivirus, Web Filtering, Antispam, etc.
- Strong understanding of service deployment processes and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Sense of urgency for field requests and good judgment of severity and business impact.
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and strategic mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effective with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- CCNA or CCIE (a bonus)
- RHCE (preferred)
The Canada-based salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $110,000 - $150,000 annually. Salary offers depend on factors such as expertise, qualifications, and experience.
