About the RoleThe School of Computing Science predominantly uses Linux in our teaching and research labs, as well as many users with Windows and Apple computers. This position will be expected to provide direct support for our students and researchers, deploying managed desktop computers, creating and updating user facing documentation and providing one on one support for users of our labs for all types of operating systems.

QualificationsTwo-year diploma in Information Technology or related discipline, and two years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Good knowledge of multiple operating systems (current versions of Windows, Mac, and Linux).
- Good knowledge of desktop security practices.
- Good knowledge of the deployment and troubleshooting of complex third-party packages including editors, IDEs, JDK, Python.
- Excellent organizational, analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented, able to approach problems logically and prioritize responsibilities.
