IT SAP Functional Consultant SAP IS-U Device Management; DM

Pay Rate: $103.37 per hour (depending on experience). Contract Length: 1 year.

Raise is currently hiring an IT SAP Functional Consultant – (SAP IS-U Device Management (DM)).

Note:

The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification where applicable.

The Senior IT SAP Functional Consultant specializing in SAP IS-U Device Management (DM) will act as a lead consultant and solution architect, driving full‑cycle SAP S/4

HANA implementations, enhancements, and production support. You will align SAP standard solutions with our client’s utility operations, ensuring project deliverables are met safely, with quality, on time, and within budget.

• Lead Implementations:
  Direct full‑cycle SAP implementations from project preparation through blueprinting, configuration, fit‑gap analysis, testing, cutover, and go‑live support.
• Solution Architecture:
  Act as integration lead or solution architect to design, configure, and implement SAP IS-U Device Management solutions that meet complex business and utility requirements.
• Technical & Functional Design:
  Author comprehensive functional and technical specifications for custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, and user interfaces (RICEFW).
• Integration Management:
  Oversee and execute the seamless integration of SAP S/4
  
  HANA with other enterprise applications and legacy utility systems.
• Stakeholder
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Lead business requirements gathering, workshops, and fit‑gap analysis. Provide professional guidance, advice, and knowledge transfer to internal business units and technical teams.
• Project Delivery:
  Manage project activities safely and efficiently, adhering strictly to project methodologies, QA standards, and organizational policies.

• (7) years of experience in SAP implementation and support (including project execution, system enhancements, and production support).
• (5) years of experience acting as a Program/Project Manager, Lead Consultant, Integration Manager, or Solution Architect across various projects.
• Hands‑on experience working within an SAP S/4
  
  HANA environment is mandatory.
• Deep understanding and hands‑on configuration experience in SAP IS‑U (Utilities), with a dedicated focus on Device Management processes (meter installations, testing, device categories, meter reading patterns, and technical master data structure).
• Exceptional written and spoken communication skills tailored for a professional corporate environment. Strong presentation and client‑management capabilities.
• Excellent business acumen with the ability to balance standard SAP features against custom enhancements.
• Expert knowledge of configuration tools, data conversion, system interfaces, and workflow design.
• Solid understanding of formal IT service delivery, support methodologies, and project management standards.
• Nice‑to‑Have Assets:
  • Direct experience working within an Agile collaboration framework.
  • Prior experience in the North American utility industry.
  • Familiarity with SAP cloud solutions and complementary cloud architectures.
  • Education and
    
    Certifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Nice to Have: SAP S/4
    
    HANA Certification.
