Role Overview
NTT DATA is seeking an SAP SD/LE/TM Lead / Architect to support implementation, rollout, enhancement, and production support across sales, transportation, and logistics execution processes. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution, Transportation Management, and Logistics Execution, and the ability to analyze business requirements, configure solutions, and support end-to-end order‑to‑cash and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities- Gather and analyze business requirements related to sales, shipping, transportation, and logistics processes.
- Configure and support SAP SD processes such as:
- Customer master and business partner integration
- Sales document types
- Item categories and schedule line categories
- Pricing, output, text determination, and credit management coordination
- Delivery, billing, returns, rebates or settlement management where applicable
- Order‑to‑cash process support
- Configure and support SAP TM processes such as:
- Freight order and freight booking
- Transportation planning
- Carrier selection
- Freight settlement
- Charge calculation
- Tendering and execution
- Transportation cockpit and planning integration
- Configure and support SAP LE processes such as:
- Shipping point determination
- Route determination
- Delivery processing
- Picking, packing, loading, and goods issue
- Shipment processing where applicable
- Warehouse and transportation coordination
- Work on integration between SD, TM, LE, MM, EWM, FI, and other connected modules.
- Support master data setup and business rules for customers, materials, shipping conditions, routes, transportation zones, carriers, and freight settings.
- Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, workflows, and custom developments.
- Support interface design and issue resolution for integration with carriers, 3PLs, EDI, middleware, and external logistics systems.
- Perform unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
- Support data migration, cutover, go‑live, hyper‑care, and production support activities.
- Analyze business issues and provide effective solutions for sales and logistics execution processes.
- Prepare process documents, configuration documents, test scripts, user manuals, and training material.
- Collaborate with business users, ABAP/development teams, basis, integration teams, and external partners.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP SD/LE.
- 5+ years of experience in TM.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in end‑to‑end order‑to‑cash and logistics execution processes.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in business process mapping, testing, defect analysis, and user support.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience integrating SD, TM, LE, MM, EWM, FI, and other connected modules.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- At least one implementation, rollout, or AMS support project experience.
- SAP certification in SD or TM is a plus.
- Domain knowledge in transportation, distribution, shipping, warehousing, or third‑party logistics is an advantage.
- Experience with SAP S/4
HANA Transportation Management is highly preferred. - Good knowledge of SAP TM processes including planning, execution, tendering, freight settlement, and charge management.
- Good understanding of SAP LE processes including shipping, delivery, picking, packing, route determination, and goods movement.
- Knowledge of integration with MM, EWM, FI, GTS, and external carrier or logistics systems.
- Understanding output management, EDI, IDoc, and interface processes is an advantage.
Starting pay range: $114,750 – $160,699. The role may be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
