The Network Operations Centre at SFU focuses on managing and monitoring the university's extensive network infrastructure. As a Network Operator, you will be tasked with responding to data communication problems, running routine network tests, and configuring system components. We seek candidates who are detail-oriented with robust knowledge in network troubleshooting and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle incoming trouble tickets related to network issues
• Configure network settings and manage switch ports
• Ensure operational efficiency in Data Centres and network systems
• Perform diagnostics and resolve networking problems
• Maintain the safety and organization within Data Centre environments
Requirements:
• Two years of relevant post-secondary education in Computing
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification required
• Three years of experience in a comparable environment
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Familiarity with ITSM principles is a plus
