The role combines category ownership, stakeholder partnership and operational leadership within a rapidly evolving procurement model. Candidates should be based out of one of our hub locations (Burnaby, Toronto or Calgary) and are expected to work in the office at least twice a week.

This role is a backfill for an existing position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own end‑to‑end sourcing across all categories (e.g., SaaS, IT, Professional Services), including developing and executing category strategies aligned to business priorities.
  • Manage sourcing pipeline, track upcoming renewals, initiatives and cost‑saving opportunities to deliver measurable value through cost savings and avoidance, supported by clear reporting and KPIs.
  • Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals, setting priorities, coaching and managing performance.
  • Lead negotiations for complex, enterprise‑level vendor agreements (SaaS, Professional Services, IT and service delivery contracts and commercial terms).
  • Support procurement transformation initiatives, rolling out processes, workflows and operating model changes; drive adoption of centralized procurement intake and workflows to improve visibility, cycle times and stakeholder experience.
  • Partner with stakeholders to refine business requirements and challenge demand where appropriate to ensure cost‑effective sourcing outcomes.
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance and risk while identifying opportunities for consolidation and cost optimisation.
  • Support resolution of vendor‑related issues and escalations, coordinating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive timely outcomes.
  • Act as a key user of procurement systems (e.g., Omnea, Coupa), supporting workflow execution, data accuracy and adoption.
  • Lead the advancement of procurement systems, automation and AI‑enabled processes and operational controls while driving scalable processes across the procurement function.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, approval processes, risk, legal and compliance requirements across all sourcing activities.
Requirements
  • 5‑7+ years of leadership experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing or supplier management.
  • Proven experience managing and developing a team, including coaching, performance management and setting clear expectations.
  • Proven ability to lead sourcing initiatives with cross‑functional stakeholders, driving alignment and timely execution.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating complex vendor agreements and pricing models.
  • Strong judgment with ability to balance cost, risk, business priorities and to challenge stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships through structured tools and resources.
  • High attention to detail and ability to identify and mitigate commercial contractual risks.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced, build‑and‑scale environment, managing multiple priorities with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated keen interest in improving your craft by using AI.

  • Hybrid work environment; local teams (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Dublin, London, New York City and Sydney) are expected to be in office at least twice per week.
  • Flexible time‑off policy with an encouraged 20 days off per year.
  • $2,000 annual counseling benefit.
  • RRSP matching and RESP contribution.
