Why We Need You:
The Warehouse Representative is responsible for varied daily tasks such as performing shipping and receiving duties, restocking shelves, accepting incoming orders, processing and packing orders, and counting inventory. The Warehouse Representative plays a key role in contributing to customer satisfaction by ensuring that orders are shipped in a timely, accurate, and safe manner.
What You'll Do:
Utilize various equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment for shipping & receiving, processing orders, and for moving and storing itemsPerforms shipping and receiving duties as required and manually picking/loading customer ordersPick and pack orders accurately and efficientlyMaintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepanciesInspect stock for damages and maintain clear records on all inventoryMaintains an organized, clean, and safe work area and equipment according to operating specifications, safety requirements and housekeeping standards. Conducts an equipmentinspection before and after use and reports any defects to Warehouse Supervisor/Lead Hand
Actively participates within a team environment while being able to self-assess regarding safe work practicesTake all precautions necessary to operate safely with a focus on workplace improvement, safe storage and handling of productParticipates in all branch COR initiatives and follows all company safety manual policiesEnsures proper documentation (pick tickets) are filled out correctly, double-checked and signed by the customerChampions excellent customer service and team player skillsAble to learn and use ERP system hand-held scannersEnsures complete compliance with all Health and Safety policies and regulationsAssist with samples (sample production) as neededWork alongside the Inside Sales team with customers/ordersAdditional duties as requiredWho You Are:
Experience in shipping/receiving, order pickingwho hold certifications like WHMIS, Forklift, First Aid, Fall Protection and Warehouse SafetyAble to comfortably lift up to 80 lbsCOR or Safety experience requiredHighly motivated and committed with a desire to succeedAmes Benefits & Perks:
