Support the cleanliness and maintenance efforts as a Parks Janitor in Burnaby. This auxiliary position offers varied shifts and the opportunity to serve the community.
In your role as a Parks Janitor within the Lands and Facilities Department, you will focus on cleaning and maintaining public facilities. Your responsibilities will include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and ensuring washrooms are stocked and clean. Engaging with patrons and addressing their needs is also an important aspect of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sweep, mop, and polish floors in public facilities
• Empty waste receptacles and clean windows
• Restock supplies and perform minor maintenance tasks
• Set rooms up for events and daily use
• Patrol and assist patrons throughout the building
Requirements:
• Completion of high school with janitorial experience preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment
• Ability to engage positively with patrons
• Valid BC Driver’s License required
• Consent to a Police Information Check prior to hiring
