Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled  Building Maintenance Worker  to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity for career growth and development within our agency. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the physical appearance and functionality of buildings and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
Inspect buildings and facilities regularly to identify and address issues requiring repair or upkeep.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or building management.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of common areas such as hallways, elevators, and restrooms.
Conduct routine inspections of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and report malfunctions or required repairs.
Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and request replacements as needed.
Assist with the set-up and breakdown of equipment or furniture for meetings and events.
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies during maintenance work.
Communicate effectively with building tenants and management to resolve maintenance concerns or requests.
Collaborate with fellow maintenance workers and contractors on larger projects and repairs.
Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and repair tasks.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a Building Service Worker Certificate from an accredited program.
Minimum one year experience in building maintenance or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with basic maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills.
Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
Physical capacity to lift and carry heavy objects and perform manual labor.
Ability to work independently, while also being an effective team player.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, when necessary.
