Join The Salvation Army in New Westminster, BC as a part-time Housekeeper. Help maintain a clean and welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.
This Housekeeping Aide role is essential for ensuring cleanliness in our facilities. You will be responsible for cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and offices, while using a range of methods including vacuuming and dusting. The role requires effective communication and physical stamina, as you will address maintenance needs and organize work tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean resident rooms and bathrooms thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas like lounges
• Empty garbage cans and maintain hygiene standards
• Vacuum draperies and clean equipment regularly
• Report maintenance needs to the supervisor
Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
• Ability to organize and schedule work efficiently
• Experience operating relevant cleaning equipment
