Support the City of Burnaby's Facilities Management as a Building Service Worker. This role focuses on manual janitorial work and maintenance tasks across municipal facilities.
As a Building Service Worker, you will engage in cleaning and custodial duties, ensuring the proper maintenance of buildings. Responsibilities include managing restroom supplies, cleaning floors, and performing minor repairs, while also assisting the public with inquiries.
Your role is vital in enhancing the visitor experience and maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform janitorial tasks like sweeping and mopping floors
• Clean restrooms, sinks, and showers to maintain hygiene
• Patrol the facility grounds for security checks
• Answer public inquiries and provide assistance
• Set up furniture for events and clear post-use
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and tools
• Experience with minor maintenance tasks
• Must hold a valid Driver's License for B.C.
• Excellent ability to follow directions and engage with the public
