Job Summary
If you enjoy technical work and troubleshooting mechanical or electrical equipment, this role may be the next step in your career. As an Equipment Technician at STEMCELL Technologies you will perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of laboratory, production, testing, storage, and monitoring equipment. You will also provide support to other functions in the Facilities department and participate in the 24/7 equipment on‑call emergency program.
Responsibilities- Complete assigned work orders or service requests from the equipment planner/scheduler and finish tasks in a timely manner.
- Document and record completed work in accordance with Good Documentation Practices as stipulated by STEMCELL’s quality policy.
- Assist or collaborate with fellow technical personnel within Facilities on complex repair or routine work.
- Respond to and address equipment alarms, including reporting and escalating major breakdown incidents that could impact product quality.
- Participate in the rotating shift pattern and the 24/7 equipment on‑call emergency program.
- Bachelor’s degree or post‑secondary diploma in a mechanical or electrical discipline with 1–2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Proficient with MS Office and Google Suite; ability to learn new software applications quickly.
- Experience in a regulated industry with a solid understanding of ISO and/or GMP regulations is considered an asset.
The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000.00 to $94,600.00, with pay determined by experience, education, and job‑related skills.
