Position: Torch Cutter at ABC Recycling
Be a pivotal part of ABC Recycling's team in Burnaby, B.C. as a Torch Cutter. This role involves utilizing oxy/propane torches to cut oversized scrap metal to precise customer specifications.

The Torch Cutter position entails cutting large and thick metal pieces that cannot be processed efficiently with conventional methods. ABC Recycling is seeking candidates with experience in using plasma or oxy torches, although training will be provided for motivated individuals. A strong work ethic and eagerness to learn are essential for this role within our reputable recycling firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely layout scrap metal in the work area

• Set up and maintain oxy acetylene/propane cutting torches

• Cut large pieces of metal to meet customer specifications

• Follow safety guidelines to prevent fire hazards

• Communicate professionally with team members

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a burner or laborer

• Good interpersonal skills and dexterity

• Familiarity with operating a bobcat or forklift

• Attention to detail and strong safety focus

• Willingness to work flexible shifts and travel
